We understand that when attending something as intimidating as a conference on climate change, you may want to hear stories from past attendees about their experience. So, here it is! We took three attendees and asked them three questions...
Check it out!
Ellie King, 29, New York City

Q: What was your perception of the Climate Conference before attending?
A: I honestly did not want to go. A friend of mine who has been telling me a lot about the climate crisis kept asking me and after maybe the fifth time, I just finally said yes!
Q: Describe your experience in a few sentences.
A: It was astounding just learning all of the facts. The hard core facts, backed by science. I learned so much I was completely unaware of and was extremely mind-blown at the end.
Q: What, to you, was the most important thing learned?
A: I actually have been wondering what I can do to change my daily lifestyle to be more environment-friendly. As a vegan, I was thrilled to learn what an impact this kind of lifestyle has on the environment!
Chris Williams, 25, Chicago, IL

Q: Why did you attend the Climate Conference?
A: I am actually a graphic tee fashion designer in Chicago and I wanted to learn more about this topic as I want to incorporate it into some of my designs to help spread the word about the climate crisis.
Q: Did you feel as though this experience met your expectations?
A: Absolutely. This was an extraordinary experience. I could not believe the facts! The presentation was excellent too. I also met some really amazing people as well and stayed after to meet with some members of the Climate Communicators team.
Q: What would you say to someone on the fence about attending the Climate Conference?
A: Don't think twice! Go. Don't just go alone, bring your friend, your mom, it doesn't matter! Bring people you car about with you. This is important for all audiences to hear.
Jessica Smith, 18, St. Louis

Q: What brought you to attend the Climate Conference?
A: I am actually a climate advocate and have been looking to network with others who feel the same as I.
Q: Did you feel as though this experience met your expectations?
A: This experience exceeded my expectations. I was excited afterward and I felt as though there is hope for the future of our generation to attack this issue. This conference is a change the world needs.
Q: What, to you, was the most important thing learned?
A: To me, the most important thing I learned was the issues going on around the globe. The countries around the world that see climate change first hand are extremely crazy to learn about. This was important to me as it put things into perspective.
Okay, we know... all three of these attendees were advocates for the Climate Conference. We are an honest group of people, so we want you to hear the other side of the story. Hear the anonymous feedback of those who did not enjoy their experience quite as much in our next blog post. Can't satisfy everyone, am I right?
